Week 23 13 Feature #16 RIBA Exhibition - Charles Correa India's Greatest Architect

Some photographs of the exhibition Charles Correa India's Greatest Architect, part of the 'Out of India season' at the RIBA. The exhibition features a range of projects by Correa (1930-) showcasing his work from his early housing projects in the 1960s and 70s to the present, ranging from academic institutions, civic and cultural centres and housing to monuments and cities based on his own humane interpretation of modernism rooted in tradition, culture and context. The exhibition consists of models and drawings donated by Correa to the RIBA archives in 2013, alongside photographs and slides of key projects including early housing projects in Bombay, the Jawahar Kala Kendra Arts Centre, Jaipur, 1986-92, the British Council Building, New Dehli, 1992, and the recent Champalimaud Centre, Lisbon, 2010

The exhibition was curated by Dr. Irena Murray and designed by David Adjaye.
